Central heating installation is the process of installing a system that distributes heat throughout a building. The installation will typically include installing a boiler, radiators, and pipes. At Gas Line we handle every aspect of an installation including designing and planning the system, installing the boiler and radiators, and connecting the pipes and controls.
This will depend on several factors including the size of the property being worked on, the number of radiators and if there’s any additional building works needed. On average, we find a typical central heating installation can take anywhere from 2 to 5 days to complete but your engineer will be able to give a timeline tailored to your installation so you know what to expect.
The type of boiler you should choose depends on factors such as the size of your home, your budget, and your energy efficiency goals. There are several types of boilers, including combi boilers, system boilers, and conventional boilers, each with their own benefits and drawbacks. We supply a range of different boilers from Worcester, Vaillant, Baxi and Main so we’re certain we’ll have the perfect system for you. If you’re unsure of which boiler to choose, our engineer can help you find the right one to suit your needs and budget.
In most cases, planning permission is not required for central heating installation. However, if you live in a listed building or a conservation area, you may need to obtain permission from your local authority. It is always best to check with your local authority before starting any work if you’re unsure.
