If you’ve never had a boiler installed before then it’s natural to have questions about what to expect when it comes to installation day. While each installation can have it’s unique considerations, to help you know what to expect, we’ve provided a rough guide on what to expect from your boiler installation:
Before any work starts on your new boiler, our engineers will visit your home to make a full assessment of where your boiler currently is, where it’s going to move to and how we’ll approach the physical installation itself. For example, if you’re moving a boiler in to a loft we’ll let you know what equipment and ladders we’ll need to be able to complete the installation. Or if your boiler is moving to a different wall we’ll need to assess it to make sure it can take the weight of the new boiler.
Boilers come in different shapes and sizes, this is so you can match the right boiler to each property and it’s needs. Our engineers will talk you through all of your options and find the right system for your home.
Before the installation begins, our engineers will walk you through the steps needed to complete the process. We’ll advise if you should move any objects out of the way and where we’ll need to be able to access in your home. We’ll always take steps to keep your carpets and floors clean and do what we need to minimise the disruption to your property. If you have any concerns about this, please speak to your engineer.
On the agreed day our engineer will arrive, ready to get your boiler installed. We’ll let you know when we need to turn off water and gas supplies and keep you updated every step of the way. We always aim to impact your day as little as possible, but we’ll give you updates as we work so you know what’s happening.
Once the installation is complete, we thoroughly test everything to make sure your boiler is installed perfectly and it won’t let you down.
If the engineer is satisfied with the installation, they’ll give you a full demonstration of the boiler so you know how it works and you can make adjustments as needed. We’ll give you all the documentation for your new boiler, including the warranty details and let you know when to get in touch with us to arrange your first boiler service.
